Greenlee County Radio Upgrade Project

Greenlee County has been working on a needed upgrade to our existing two-way radio communications systems. The County completed its upgrade in 2018/2019. All first responding agencies in the county will be using this system and we will all be on the same channels.

A total of $343,520.76 was awarded between agencies in Greenlee County.
Duncan Valley Rural Fire District was awarded $76,545.31 and The Town of Clifton Police Department was awarded $114,082.07 for radios and equipment in order to upgrade and be compatible with all other first responder agencies. Greenlee County was awarded $28,290.72 for radios for Gila Health Resources, Search and Rescue, and all county schools. The Clifton Fire Department was awarded $124,602.66 for radios and 5 additional SCBA bottles.

The entire county is going to one communications system for radios, which will allow each agency to be able to communicate with any agency in the county during emergency situations.

We want to say thank you to each and every one of you for all the hard work you do for our communities!
